Reading
portion: Deuteronomy ch 2:1 to 3
1
"Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness of the Way of the Red
Sea, as the LORD spoke to me, and we skirted Mount Seir for many days.
2 "And the LORD spoke to me, saying: 3 "You have skirted this mountain long
enough; turn northward”
1.
Look
behind our past life
When
we examine our life, we will be
amazed to see our wonderfully our God us carried us through in the past years.
Thank and Praise God for that.
2.
Look up towards God
When
we see His glory , we will be able to humble ourselves before him. From the
life’s of Peter , Job, Paul etc
we can see how humble they were.
3.
Look
forward/ahead
In
the days to come we should look forward and progress in our
life. The Israelites on their way to Canaan from Egypt took almost
thirty eight years to reach Canaan. They kept skirting around the Mount Seir
without any progress and in the end the Almighty is telling them to stop and
go ahead towards north.
In
the same way, many of us who were born again for many years are still not
progressing. We are spiritually behind. Its high time that we examine our
lives and move ahead spiritually. Grow up more spiritually in the days to
come.
