Message for the Week

 

Reading Portion: Hebrews  ch 9:26

 
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

 
When is the end of the world?

 
 
The end of the world has not yet come when we  hear of wars and rumours of wars and when we see  nation  rising against nation, kingdom against kingdom and when there are famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes (Mathew ch 24: 3, 6 &7).There are other things which should happen before the end of the world like the the Rapture of the Church ,the Tribulation Period ,the Second Coming and the Millennial Reign .

 
But we should be aware that the rapture of the church is at hand.

 
Luke ch 12: 54 to 57    - We should be able to discern the time.
 

I John ch 2: 18             - We are now moving towards the end of the grace period. When apostle John wrote this verse, he said its the last hour. If so, then we are in the last second of the last hour.

 
 
I Cor 10:11                   - Apostle Paul mentions about end of the world in this verse and in the preceding verses (from verse 6) instructs the believers in the Corinthians  church as how to live in this end times which is applicable, to our lives also:   
 

 
  • verse 6:   Do not lust after evil things

 

  • verse 7:   Do not be idolaters   
  • verse 8:   Do not commit fornication
  • verse 9:   Do not tempt Christ
  • verse 10: Do not murmur
In the coming days, lets strive to live a more spiritual life pleasing to God because in the end the judgment of God awaits us.
