Reading Portion: Joshua ch 1 : 1 to 9
|
| God's work will never be hindered even if
His servants pass away. Joshua was appointed to lead Israel after the
death of Moses.
|

Exodus ch 17: 9 to 16 -
Moses told Joshua to fight the Amalekites. Joshua as a youngster
was ready to take up the leadership that was
bestowed upon him. While Joshua fought, Moses , Aaron and Hur prayed
for the Israelites.

Exodus ch 24:13
- When Moses went up into the mount Sinai, Joshua was praying
at the bottom of the mount.
|
|
Numbers ch 11: 24 to 28 - Joshua is jealous
here and we see him being corrected by Moses.We must not secretly grieve
at the gifts, graces, and usefulness of others.

|
Numbers ch 27: 15 to 20 - Moses appoints
Joshua to lead God's people so that the congregation of the
LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. God testifies Joshua
as a man filled with the Spirit of God.

| Moses did exactly what was commanded to him by God to appoint Joshua the next leader and gave some of his authority to Joshua. |
| Numbers ch 32 : 11 &12 - Joshua wholly followed God due to which he had the priviledge to enter Canaan. |

Deuteronomy 34:9
- Joshua was full of the spirit of
wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children
of Israel hearkened unto him.
