Fire! Do Escape! |
| The Bible says, “For, behold, the day cometh, that
shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble.” (Malachi 4: 1). Dear friend, what would you do if you got an information that there is going to be a fire in the house that you live in or at your workplace or wherever you are ? Won’t you take all necessary precautions to save yourself and the lives of all the people at that place? God sent his only begotten son, “The Lord Jesus Christ” to this world to redeem you from death and give eternal life to you. “The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53: 6). Though He was free of sins he bore your sin and the sins of the whole world and was crucified between two thieves like a sinner at Golgotha being interpreted as the place of skull. He suffered the painful death and agony on the cross in your stead. Dear friend, Jesus Christ had no need to suffer like this because He has authority over everything and He is The Mighty God. He would have been able to save Himself, but when He remembered you and me, He died by His own will for your salvation. His body was buried in a sepulchre and sealed with a big stone, thinking He’ll never rise again. But it was impossible that death should hold him prisoner. Jesus Christ defeated Satan who had authority over death, rose victorious on the third day and now reigns in the heaven along with Lord God having authority over everything. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11: 25). Dear friend, The Bible says: Jesus Christ is coming soon. (Rev 22: 12). There is a book in his hand which is the “Book of life ” All those whose names are not seen in this book of life would be put into the eternal fire.(Rev 20:15). Is your name in that book? Do you wish your name to be written in the book of life and to be saved from the judgement of eternal death? Jesus Christ says, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14: 6). “I am the door, by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved. He that climbeth up some other way is a thief and a robber.” (John10: 1, 9).“ Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”(John 6: 37). “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” (John 12: 48). Jesus Christ says again “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24: 35). Dear friend, There is one and only one way. “Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us.” (Act 4: 12). Salvation can neither be obtained by money nor by anybody’s efforts or mediation, but only by the free gift of God’s grace. “All our righteousness are as filthy rags in the sight of God.” (Isaiah 64: 6). “For there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 2: 5). Jesus Christ is without sin, holy and has authority over life and death. He is the only one who can give salvation to the sinful man. “God offered him, so that by his sacrificial death he should become the means by which people’s sins are forgiven through their faith in him.” (Rom.3: 25). If you come to Jesus Christ with faith and repentance of sins, The Lord who is full of mercy will justify and save you. It is reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ. Dear friend, “It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrew 10: 31). He will judge those whose names are not in the “ Book of Life .” Today if you die where will you spend your eternal life? It is not certain whether you’ll be alive tomorrow. Jesus Christ wants everybody to be saved and so now he is calling you lovingly. There is no opportunity after your death. This is the hour to receive God’s favour; today is the day to be saved. The Bible says: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Rom 10: 9). |
